So, what is the trouble with having AdBlue in a diesel car? Seeing as AdBlue is predominantly ionised water, it's almost the same as putting water into your tank. Diesel and water really do not blend in the slightest and attempting to run a diesel car on water will never work. Apart from this, the urea is seriously corrosive to the fuel system pipes and seals and is prone to crystalising, damaging injectors and filters.

Water contaminated fuel

Water contaminated fuel, no matter whether it is unleaded petrol or diesel, is without question a serious condition to address in a vehicle - particularly in advanced common-rail engines. Having water in your fuel will cause idling difficulties, irregular running, increased smoke and, if it's not remedied fully, in some cases broken injectors.
